Privacy Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

This policy explains what Ask Wick, operated by Izzy Alexander (“we”), collects when you use the site, why, and who helps us run it. We don’t sell personal information or use it for advertising.

What we collect

  • Your account. When you sign in, your email address and, if you give one, your name. During the beta you sign in with just your email; there is no password or code. We also keep when you joined, when you last visited, and any invitation code you used.
  • Chat questions. What you ask the assistant is sent to an AI model to write the answer. If you’re signed in, your conversations are saved to your account so you can come back to them. If you’re not signed in, we don’t save the conversation.
  • Attached files. PDFs and images you attach to a question are sent to the AI model to answer that question. We don’t store their contents; a saved conversation keeps only the file’s name.
  • Links in questions. If your question includes a web address, our server fetches that public page so the assistant can read it.
  • Things you post or send. Community posts and replies (shown with your name), course quiz scores, subtitle reports, feedback (with your email if you include it), and waitlist sign-ups.
  • Usage. Which pages and features are used, the text of questions asked, the language chosen, and errors, so we can see what works and what is missing from the archive.

Please don’t include patient-identifiable information in anything you send. See the Terms of Use.

Who helps us run Ask Wick

These services process data on our behalf, only to provide their part of the site:

  • Vercel hosts the site and routes chat questions to the AI model (Vercel AI Gateway).
  • Anthropic provides the AI model that writes the answers.
  • Clerk handles sign-in.
  • Neon hosts our database: accounts, saved conversations, posts, and feedback.
  • PostHog provides usage analytics and error reports.
  • Mux streams the recorded lectures and measures playback quality.

These providers are based in the United States, so your information is processed there, including if you visit from Europe, Japan, or elsewhere.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in (Clerk), remember the language you chose, and measure usage (PostHog). We don’t use advertising cookies. If you visit from the EU, the UK, or Switzerland, we ask first: until you accept, or if you decline, usage is counted anonymously without analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, saved conversations, and posts while your account exists. Usage analytics are kept for a limited period by PostHog. You can ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it at any time.

Your choices

You can use the assistant without signing in. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information by writing to hello@askwick.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Ask Wick is for dental and orthodontic professionals and students, and is not meant for children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. Questions: hello@askwick.ai, or use Send feedback.
